Kendo is a traditional Japanese sword-based Martial Art and a modern sport. Kendo can be viewed as the Japanese form of modern fencing, involving scoring of points against an opponent using a bamboo sword and armor.

Welcome back AKC

AKC is back in action at the George Leach Centre. Please contact George Leach Centre for class availability since spaces are limited due to COVID-19. Vaccines, masks and distancing are required.

2019-2020 Kendo year has started.

A new year is upon us, we welcome new students to come and try out Kendo, Mondays at 8:15pm in the GLC mutli-purpose room. New lower prices are in place as well, please check with the front desk. This year will include a visit from Choi Sensei, alone with another sensei and team Canada prospects. Grading in early November in Toronto, along with JCCC tournament. We are hoping to run some in club fun tournaments in the winter. Great year planned, come check us out.
